Who would think that a love of a color could launch a business?  Brooke Israel and Avery Solmssen have done exactly that.  The two esteemed interior designers today announce the creation of Green LLC, Honolulu’s first design firm to offer both event and floral design services for weddings, fundraisers and a variety of other events requiring the exquisite touch of contemporary, high-end furnishings and décor.

Green was not only conceived by Brooke and Avery’s common adoration for all things green, but in their desire to make the functions they design memorable and beautiful.

Green spawns from the talents of Brooke, a co-founder and owner of Honolulu-based SoHa Living, and Avery, a skilled floral designer with an eye for pairing the right flower with each unique engagement. The new company offers customers in Hawaii a one-stop service for any and all occasions that require a sophisticated touch. Green offers a variety of linens, stemware and dinnerware, cocktail tables, chairs, chandeliers, candles and other decorative items and furnishings. At the same time, Green will design just the right floral arrangement to match the event’s character and purpose.

Green is also pleased to announce that after an event’s conclusion, clients will have the choice to donate their floral arrangements to any number of local charities.

“Starting Green has allowed us to fill a void in the Honolulu area in high-end event and floral design services,” Brooke Israel said.

“I think the beauty of Green, in addition to our style, is that we enable clients to order their floral arrangements and decorative furnishings from one vendor. That’s essential when trying to pull together a sizeable function that simply must have an elegant feel. Green helps clients pull it off,” Avery Solmssen said.
